The MaSS program offers a series of Professional Development workshops throughout the academic year on topics such as resume-writing, interview skills, networking strategies, and navigating professional platforms like LinkedIn.
Each spring, the MaSS program hosts a series of talks followed by informal conversation with potential employers from diverse industries. These events create a unique forum to learn about employment opportunities, to network with industry leaders, and to discover how to apply the MaSS training in a professional research career.
MaSS students enjoy full access to UCLA’s extensive career services, including individual counseling sessions and invitations to participate in career fairs and networking events.

The MaSS program offers workshops and individual consultations for students interested in pursuing a PhD after completion of the MaSS degree. We provide extensive guidance on topics ranging from how to identify the best doctoral programs for you, to how to write a compelling statement of research interest.
